Lauran Acevedo, Business Services Specialist in the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development, recently set out to identify new and growing industry sectors outside of the WDB’s primary focus areas, with a specific emphasis on occupational pathways with low barriers to entry and sustainable, living wages.
Lauran used multiple data sources to confirm and advancer her findings. By pairing and comparing her search outcomes within these resources, she was able to build a comprehensive framework for new employment pathways.
An integral part of Lauran's research centered around EconoVue + D&B data. Read Lauran's story to see what she discovered about the up-and-coming occupations in San Francisco, and her next steps to connect job-seekers with growing companies within these employment pathways.
