1 After drilling down into an industry sector to the 4- or 6-digit NAICS code (instructions here), click Jobs/Trainings at the bottom of the screen.
2 The left side of the resulting Jobs/Training screen shows all the job titles associated with the subsector selected on the previous bubble chart.
There are several ways to view and sort the list of job titles:
Alphabetical list of JOB TITLES: The correlation of job titles and industry sectors is determined via SOC codes from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. (Learn more.)
Numerical list of O*NET CODES: Each O*NET code is an occupational code created to help relate a specific job title to an SOC code. (Learn more.)
Numerical list of O*NET JOB ZONES: O*NET job codes are grouped into job zones based on the amount of education and work-related experience typically required for a specific job title. For example, occupations grouped in Job Zone 1 may or may not require a high school diploma along with little or no work experience. (Learn more.)
3 Click on the desired job title in the occupations list to see current job postings and training opportunities. (Note that job postings are pulled from indeed.com – all jobs posted within the last 14 days will be listed.)
4 On the resulting screen, ensure that Find Jobs is selected.
5 Review a Department of Labor description of the job category, the applicable O*NET job code and job zone designations, as well as region-specific salary details.
6 Click on a company name to launch the job posting website.
7 To further filter your list, enter a minimum salary or salary range, as well as a search radius.
8 Export your finished list to an Excel spreadsheet.
9 At any time, click the ProspectVue tab in the top left corner of the screen to transfer the details of the hiring companies to ProspectVue to learn additional details about the size and financial health of each company. (Learn more about filtering search results in ProspectVue.) Note: due to spelling and naming differences, the data transfer may not be exact.
